
This program is designed for those
offenders whose charges have been reduced or whose charges are
not sufficient to warrant a 72-Hour Residential Driver Intervention
Program. It is also recommended for anyone in need of an intensive
program for alcohol or drug education, or that need to meet employer
requirements. The
class begins at 8:00 a.m. and runs until 5:15 p.m. each of the
two days. The
course covers education regarding the effects of drugs and alcohol
on the body as well as social and legal consequences of using. The
impact of drinking or using on driving performance is covered as
well.
The program will inform and assist participants in recognizing behaviors
they may want to change.
This Program Includes:
- Individual screening
- Small group discussions
- Lectures and films
- Alcohol & drug education
When necessary, participants will receive referrals for on-going
treatment services.
This course may also add a third day to satisfy court requirements.
